Being balanced

All of us do things that are “good” for us and things that are “bad” for us. It’s part of being human.

The key is to find the right balance for the goals that you have for your future.

We are more than happy to tell you all the things that could reduce your risk of dementia, but finding the right balance of these things is up to you.

For example - we know drinking too much alcohol can be bad for the brain - but what about the occasional glass of wine shared with a friend while watching the sunset? Having a social life and enjoyable experiences are all things that can help the brain too.

Continue to keep balance in mind as you build a dementia prevention plan that incorporates a livable, practical lifestyle.

Health comes when we are in balance, not when we restrict ourselves.
