Why we started…

Dr. Olivia Geen

CEO & Founder of Aldora Health

“Dementia is preventable in many cases, but getting information on how can be hard.

When someone’s worried about dementia for themselves or someone they love they want information on what they can do to prevent or slow down the change before it’s too late.

As dementia doctors, we can help - but it’s hard for us to reach everyone in need when there are only 400 of us in all of Canada.

With Aldora, we make access to answers simple, by curating information from dementia experts and leading research in one, easy-to-find place. Now you can have all the answers to dementia prevention and treatment, starting today.

The Aldora Difference

Aldora is the only health education company created by geriatricians, the type of doctors who specialize in comprehensive dementia and aging medicine.

We explain

  • how to prevent dementia

  • how to reverse or slow down mild cognitive impairment

  • new scientific breakthroughs

  • success stories from real-life clinical cases

Our content is evidence-based, comprehensive, and concise, organized by 18 risk factors for dementia.

You can use this information to improve your life and the lives of those you love, helping them to protect their mind and improve memory symptoms.

Aldora’s Experts

  • Health is the ability to live and experience life in alignment with who you are.

The role of health information is to help you build your lifestyle with intention and purpose for your unique goals and dreams. There is no one right way - there are multiple paths, and a physician’s role is to help you find the one that’s best for you.

  • Health is optimized through balance.

Too much and too little of something are equally harmful. To optimize, you must find the sweet spot in between. Every action, choice, or target is on a spectrum, and finding balance for you in particular is what health & living are all about.

  • The secret to a long life is "Living Medicine"

Life is all about connection. To achieve our best health as we age we need habits that are connected to the world around us. Instead of focusing on optimizing isolated biomarkers, focus on real-world activities that engage multiple parts of your mind, body, and spirit.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • We focus mainly on simple lifestyle changes that can solve the root cause of at least 45% of dementia cases.

However, as medical experts we also know that sometimes medications are needed when lifestyle isn't enough, or when it isn't possible to change.

We give you balanced insights into lifestyle & medicines so you can have an informed conversation with your healthcare provider on what is right for you.

  • It is never too early or too late to start anything in life, including dementia prevention.

Building your brain strength and reducing damage at 30 or 90 years old can help prevent symptoms or progression of disease.

As long as the damage hasn't reached moderate stages of dementia, there are still gains that can be made.

  • Yes. We base our content on the latest scientific research, and combine it with real-world clinical experience to bring you answers that are practical, relevant, and trustworthy.

We will often link to original scientific papers so that you can check the facts for yourself if you're interested.
