How to take fall prevention into your own hands

Falling is preventable for post people. With the right help, you can find the cause and fix the problem.

This will make it easier for you to remain living on your own with total independence, and prevent head injuries which can lead to dementia.

The main people you’ll need to ask for help from are:

  • a pharmacist

  • your doctor or a nurse

  • an occupational therapist

  • a physiotherapist

In many places in Canada, all of these services are covered by our free health-insurance.
